How We Calculate your FMV
Our valuation is grounded in IRS Publication 561 guidance for noncash charitable contributions. We use active resale comparables from eBay and secondary LEGO markets as the basis for every number.
COMPONENT 1
$9.00 / lb.
Clean, loose, genuine LEGO bricks in used condition. Reflects the midpoint of documented resale ranges from sites like eBay ($6–$12/lb) for lots that may require light cleaning or dusting.
COMPONENT 2
$9.00 / lb.
Minifigure premium. Based on 2–3 common used figures per pound at $3–$4 each per bulk eBay comparables. Non-LEGO items and packing materials are excluded.

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR LETTER
Check the details of your letter to ensure all names and addresses are correct. ​

Keep your acknowledgment letter. It is your official record of the donation date, description, and fair market value.

If your total noncash charitable contributions for the year exceed $500, you will need to file IRS Form 8283 with your tax return.
